Advent is upon us as of First Vespers this past Saturday night. What a wonderful way to open it with an International ProLife Vigil for all unborn babies. We can now prepare for the "coming of the baby Jesus on Christmas - God with us, who as an adult would show Himself as the executed Christ."
By prepare, I mean do things like pray, pray a lot. Plan thoughtful gifts for those you love. Decorate not only with a tree, but with a manger and with pictures of Mary and the Holy Family around. Talk about St. Nicholas and the Wise Men and the animals. Filter out the commercialized and secularized activities and help the Church put Christ back into Christmas.
