Texas Committee Passes Bill to Ban Abortions at 20 Weeks

The bill saves some babies from being killed via abortion.  That is good news.  Unfortunately, it does not save those babies under 20 weeks old who will continue to lose their lives via abortion.  My heart aches for them, but I still see the bill as progress.  And kudos that it places much needed restrictions on abortion clinics and doctors:

House Bill 2 would ... require that the procedure be performed at ambulatory surgical centers, mandate that doctors who perform abortions obtain admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles and that even nonsurgical abortions take place in a surgical center.
