In June, Fr. Robert Rabbat who has a degree in chemical engineering and mathematics, was named Bishop of the Melkite Eparchy of St. Michael in Sydney, Australia.
Having a degree in chemical engineering [myself], I found this news amusing, given how often people are surprised when I tell them I no longer work in the field, and instead, work for a religious community.
